Anne Vallayer-Coster was an 18th century French rococo painter. She specialized mainly in landscapes, and was one of the few women of her day to be a successful, renowned artist.

Vallayer-Coster was an official painter to Marie Antoinette in the court at Versailles. She was only one of four women during her lifetime to be accepted to the Royal Academy of Painting and Sculpture prior to the French Revolution.
