Michele-Francoise Dandre-Bardon was an 18th century French painter who studied at the Academie Royale. Dandre-Bardon took second prize at the Prix de Rome, which enabled him to live in Rome for five years, as well as in Venice. Dandre-Bardon became an Assistant Professor at the Academie Royale, and was also put in charge of the decoration for the royal galleries at Marseilles.

While it is said by art historians the Dandre-Bardon painted many portraits, none have been located to this date.
