About Forensics

We are at the point when anything can be studied, researched and investigated.

A client sent us a handwritten note from Salvador Dali written in a London hotel.

We checked if Dali had been in London at the time the artwork would have been created.

Had he stayed at that hotel.

Did the hotel ever have such notepads.

Was the handwriting his.

Was the syntax his. Is this how he wrote, the words he used, how he formed sentences.

It was written in Spanish so we used Spanish language forensics.

We checked if the handwriting was digitally pasted down (Photoshopped) or a real photo of real handwriting.

This was all done separately from investigating the artwork.

Forensics can be your best friend. It can turn something questionable into a certainty and help demonstrate that you own a million dollar painting.
