Pietro Fancelli was an Italian Neoclassical painter. He received his initial studies from his father while living in Bologna , and spent many years in Venice . Fancelli was an elected member of the Accademia Clementina, and received a number of commissions in his lifetime for altarpieces and other decorative projects. Fancelli was initially influenced by the Venetian School , though eventually began to paint in the Bolognese style of the Neoclassic. Fancelli was inspired by his fellow Bolognese artist, Ubaldo and Gaetano Gandolfi.
